The objective of this event is

 To bring the youth together and stimulate their spiritual and intellectual development

  • Impart a basic understanding and knowledge of Islamic fundamentals among the youth 

  • Provide the platform for healthy competition and an incentive for gaining knowledge on Islam and Muslim history 

  • Build bonds with other schools and parents

Rules, Regulations and Assessment Criteria
  • Student must take part in the online quiz competition. If you don’t take part in the Quiz
    competition, even if you win in any of the following competition, you will not qualify to win
    the contest, and next student / winner will be awarded the prize who appears in the online
    quiz test.
  •  Students can participate in all the competitions – Qiraa’h, Azan, Calligraphy, Essay Writings
  • Winners will be given cash prizes.

Bilal Ibn Rabah Award (Azan Competition)

  • Participants will be required to recite full azan with proper tone and Tajweed. 
  • Participant must send the video recording of the Azan by January 31st 2022.

  • The Azan duration should not exceed 3 minutes. 
  • Five participants from each category will qualify for the final on Saturday, February 12th 2022
  • The final contest will be live on the social media.

Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdel Samad Award (Qiraa’h Competition)

  • • Student will be tested on common rules of Tajweed.
  • Result in the online quiz test will not affect the grade in the Qiraa’h.
  • Student will have to prepare from the assigned Surahs mentioned on the flyer –
    Memorizing the Surah is not required for the Non-Hifz category.
  • Participant must send the video recording of the Qira’h by January 31st 2022

  • Five participants from each category will qualify for the final on Saturday, February 12th, 2022
  • The final contest will be live on the social media.
  • Participants must record their name, age, whether they are hifz student or not

Calligraphy Competition

  • This contest is open to all students of ages 9 & UP.
  • All contestants are required to draw the following: Details will be added
  • Calligraphy must be done freehand.
  •  Markers, pencils (colored or black), Crayons, Watercolors and oil colors can be used
  • Stencils, carbon-papers and other copying material will not be allowed
  • During the competition, copying the artwork from any reference will not be allowed
  • Contestants can use any style of calligraphy available and can also use their own style
  • The calligraphy will be JUDGED based on its beauty, originality and for its legibility

Essay Writing

  • There will be two age groups, both boys and girls can participate.
  • Essay Submission deadline is February 5th 2022.

Conduct thorough research and describe the conditions of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and how these circumstances led to the conquest of Makkah in the near future.

Group 2 (6-7 Grades) – A minimum of 300 words 

Topic: Reflections on the Establishment of the State of Madina.

Conduct thorough research and narrate the events that led to the establishment of the state of Madina. Be sure to include the Prophet (SAW)’s efforts to reach out to different tribes for support, mention the Hijrah, and describe the formation of the constitution of Madina.

For which level should I register?

Please register for the grade level in which you are currently going to school. All grades levels refer to the 2021-2022 academic year.

Does Grade refer to Public School Grade or Sunday School Grade?

Grades in Syllabus refer to Public/Islamic School Grade, they are NOT Sunday or Weekend Islamic School grades. Kids who are home schooled can participate in the grade levels that they would normally be placed in if they were to attend a public school in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Is there a program for parents?

Yes, while the students are taking the written exam, there will be a session for parents/youth in the Auditorium with prominent speakers.

Will I get a participation certificate?

Yes, every participant will be given a participation certificate after the exam.

Will I get a souvenir?

Yes, every participant will be receiving a special participation souvenir.

How many questions will there be in the written exam?

There will be approximately 50 multiple choice questions in the written exam. The questions will have to be answered in approx 30 minutes. The amount of time and number of questions will vary with the level.

I don’t have a PayPal account and I don’t want to open one!

You can pay by any major credit card / debit card without opening a PayPal account. Its quick and easy and our preferred way of receiving quiz registrations. If you feel uncomfortable paying online, then you can fill registration online and bring the check to the quiz competition.

My kid cannot come when the quiz starts due to another commitment. Is it possible to come late and still be able to compete in the quiz?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate such requests.

Will lunch be served?

We will be providing lunch to all the students in the classrooms. Parents will have to make their own arrangements for lunch. There will be food vendor available to buy the foods.

Will I be able to find out the score on the written quiz?

Yes, inshaAllah we will email the grade. The class average as well as your standing in the class will be provided as well to you.

How long the Quiz Competition is going to be?

Be prepared to stay until 3:30 PM. If your child reach finals, program will end at 3:30 PM.
