It’s Asma’s birthday! She wanted to give back to the community. Last year, she made food boxes at the ICNA Relief food pantry. This year she has put her creativity and made 50 cards for the first responders. MashaAllah. We will be giving out her lovely cards tomorrow to the nurses and doctors at GradyHealth (Emory Grady) InshaAllah. Come and support us so we can continue this intiative. Information is below.

Allahumma Ballighna Ramadan
"Oh Allah, let us reach the month of Ramadan."

A lot of us may be feeling lonely being cooped up, but don't worry, our special guest is just around the corner. And although this year may be a little different, the essence of our favorite month will still be the same. InshaAllah, better times are coming. 😄

Your Health and Safety are absolutely paramount during this time and everyone has been advised to stay home except those who are putting their lives at risk to save ours. While staying home to flatten the curve, we can still do our part to help! Please come together to support this community-led initiative by making a small contribution to make a great impact.

The purpose of this initiative is to appreciate our 1st responders for their services. Every Friday we are joining forces to do something for our hard working Healthcare Workers. We will be at a different location every week.

This is a Collaborative effort from local NGO's, Organizations and Restaurants. Please contact us if you wish to participate!

“I hope this message finds you in good health. I'm 18 years old. I reside with my mother and two younger brothers in Queens. I'm writing this email in regards to if my family and I would be able to receive food support during this time of crisis. A little back story about us, we moved to NY few years ago and in that same year our father passed away due to cancer. Ever since then we have depended on SSI because my mother is physically unable to work. Last year, I turned 18 and my income was suspended. My mother and brother still receive just enough to be able to pay for rent, and bills, I am a full-time student and I work a part-time job. Due to the virus, my workplace has shut down and I've lost the source of income that helped us for food. We've applied for SNAP multiple times, but have been denied each time. If there are any other sources for aid you can point me towards or even within your organization, we will be forever grateful.”
